International students can be granted an Open Work Visa for 1-3 years with a graduation certificate, which allows them to work for any employer and work in any position. The post-study work visa is valid for up to three years, and the duration of the post-study work visa will be equal to the student's full-time study in New Zealand (language schools and preparatory courses are not counted), this type of work visa can only be applied for once, and proof of living expenses of 5,000 New Zealand dollars is required when applying.
Eligible qualifications:• Level 9, Level 10 Master's and PhD students, must study full-time in New Zealand for at least 30 weeks to be granted a 3-year work visa. • Students in Level 7 degree (undergraduate degree) and Level 8 postgraduate programs must study full-time in New Zealand for at least 30 weeks to qualify for a work visa. The duration of to be granted a work visa will be equal to the student's full-time study in New Zealand. • Students in Level 4 to 7 courses (without a degree) can be granted a work visa if their majors are majors on the Green Occupation List. The duration of a work visa will be equal to the student's full-time study in New Zealand. • If you study the above courses consecutively, the duration of the work visa will be equal to the student's full-time study in New Zealand, up to 3 years.• If a student is enrolled in a Level 7 or 8 course and will require professional registration in the future, the duration of work visa will be equal to the student's full-time study in New Zealand, plus an additional year, up to a maximum of 3 years.
Partner Work Visa:Partners of post study work visa holders can apply for an open work visa under the partnership category, and the duration of such work visas is the same as that of the spouse's work visa.
