Unless you are from visa-free counties, people visiting New Zealand for tourism, business visits, visiting friends, family and other short-term visits will be required to apply for a Visitor Visa. The duration of any visitor visa is a maximum of 9 months out of 18 months. Visitor visas cannot be used to work part-time and study for up to 3 months.
The general tourist visitor visa is usually for multiple entry of maximum 5 years, and each entry can stay for up to 3 months, and the annual stay cannot exceed 6 months. People entering New Zealand on a visitor visa can apply for an extension in New Zealand upon arrival. The condition is that the maximum stay in New Zealand is not more than 9 months out of every 18 months. When the visitor visa expires, you can also apply for other types of visas, such as student visas, work visas, settlement visas, etc.
The following basic documents are required to apply for a visit visa to New Zealand:
*Personal sightseeing or family visits: The applicant's evidence of funds, the applicant's employment certificate, the applicant must prove that he has a certain employment and social economic ties with their home country.
*Group sightseeing tours: You can join a tour group to New Zealand at the local travel agency, and after paying the fee, the travel agency will apply for a group visit visa from the Immigration New Zealand, which will generally be approved. Those who enter New Zealand on a group visit visa are not allowed to change any other types of visas, and must accompany the group and leave the country on schedule.
*Business visitor: Applicants need to provide a letter of invitation from a New Zealand company, proof of employment certificate, and evidence of funds.
*Spouse or child visitor visa for work or student visa holders:New Zealand work visa or student visa holders can apply for a visitor for their spouse or child. The duration of the visa will be the same as that of the work or study visa holder.
